That lesson gave me a really good real experience, and I feel like I understood things quite well. Max's approach is pretty relaxed but insightful, and I appreciated the focus on practical skills. Though I still need to learn lobs and improve my movement up to the kitchen, I think with more practice I'll get there. Still, it was helpful to get a sense of how to approach those aspects in actual play, and I’m hopeful about the progress ahead. If you're into pickleball and want a grounded, honest lesson, I’d say it’s worth trying Max.

Max was geat. I had played tennis in high school, but basically nothing for over 50 years. Prior to Max, I had one group lesson, but it wasn’t enough to learn the very basics. With Max, my confidence greatly improved. I’m going to try another open play before another lesson. I have several great takeaways, including crouching more and keeping my arm straight, and striking the ball in the middle of the paddle. Max was very encouraging and convinced me I could advance to the intermediate level with some good guidance.

Max had been a wonderful coach and I would recommend him to anyone who is brand new to pickleball as well as anyone who’s looking to improve their game. I am the former and Max has taken the time to explain the game and patiently watched me miss balls or make other errors and he’s always shown encouragement, As Max said “The game is called Pickleball. It was meant to be fun,”
