John does a great job with Noelle . He challenges her just like any other student . He doesn’t treat her differently because she has Special Needs. He is fun but firm and expects her to learn and apply the techniques he teaches her on the drums . He uses many methods to help her become the best drummer she can be . He is knowledgeable about both secular and Christian music which helps her to develop skills that may later enable her to play on a worship team when that opportunity arises . John is always upbeat and encouraging too !

John has been teaching my 12 year old son how to play the drums this past year and its been a great experience so far! He has improved greatly as John teaches many important skills needed for drumming well. Weve been able to work on playing many praise songs that we sing at our church, which is super helpful. John is very thorough and goes above and beyond to provide video examples for my son to practice with between lessons. And he communicates well regarding the lessons and schedule. Definitely recommend.

John has been teaching our son for 3 and a half years. Our son started with John at 5 almost 6 years old, he is now 9 years old and loves the drums. John started with songs that a small child enjoys and allowed him to grow has musician. As the years went on, John has challenged our son more and more with new and different songs. John is always willing to learn a song that our son would like to be taught. We hope to work with John for many years to come as our son grows as musician and drummer.

We’ve had a great experience with Mr. John (as we call him) as my son’s drum teacher. He is very dedicated, shows a lot of patience and takes his time to explain concepts thoroughly, making sure his students understand before moving on. We would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a drum teacher.
