About 4 weeks after I first started playing pickleball, I entered a tournament and had to register with the USAPA (USA Pickleball Association). On the registration form, they ask you for a nickname, which I entered "Danimal" thinking no one would ever see it. Sure enough, during my first tournament, when being called over the loudspeakers for my matches, the announcer yelled Danimal rather than my first or last name. I was embarrassed and couldn't believe it. However, while walking to the courts, everyone high-fived me and told me they loved the nickname. That weekend, I won a gold medal in Men's Singles, Mixed Doubles, and Men's Doubles completing a Triple Crown in my first tournament! 🥇🥇🥇 Lo and behold, the nickname has stuck and is now forever

A MUST while you are in Austin! Dan and Pickleball Playmakers hosted a group event for us to celebrate our friend getting married. Coordinating a day-time activity for a group of 15 guys could not have been easier with Dan and Pickleball Playmakers. The rooftop location was a major perk, but I imagine the other locations would have been just as amazing. Dan set up a lesson and tournament for our group so we all got to play against one another. Dan both coached and coordinated the event. He was very accommodating to our group size and was able to work with individuals of all skill levels. Whether you are looking for a break from bachelor/bachelorette celebrations, a corporate/teambuilding activity, or just a fun family and friends event, I would highly recommend Pickleball Playmakers.

Dan is AWESOME!! He organized a lesson and tournament for my bachelor party in Austin and made everything super easy and fun for our group. He had paddles and balls ready with a full tournament bracket prepared, so all we needed to do was show up and play. He even had medals for the winning teams at the end of the tournament. Many of us were first-timers, but Dan took the time to explain the rules and gave pointers throughout the day. Most of us traveled from out of state for this trip, but we were able to trust him with all of the planning. If you're looking for a fun group activity that will get everyone engaged, I HIGHLY recommend Dan and Pickleball Playmakers.

If you are looking for a fun lesson or group event, look no further! Pickleball Playmakers put on an incredible pickleball event for our bachelor party in Austin. Dan was extremely accommodating and easy to communicate with during the entire process. He made sure to secure a venue close to where we were staying, brought top of the line equipment and set up a fun tournament for us with first place medals! He also took the time to teach the first time picklers and even brought refreshments for everyone. I recommend Dan and Pickleball Playmakers 10/10 times!
