“If you are looking for a swing coach for your child, Matt Davis is the MAN! After less than one year, Matt has transformed my daughter’s golf game. Sarah went from shooting in the 90’s and not being able to qualify out of her school’s league tournament her sophomore year, to shooting a 76-80 at the grueling District 1 tournament and qualifying for the Eastern Regional this year. There, she finished just two strokes short of qualifying for the PIAA State tournament. Most of her improvements occurred during the off-season, when Sarah worked indoors with Matt and his swing simulator (I hear he has a new simulator that puts his old one to shame- can’t wait to see it!). I hadn't seen Matthew in at least 20 years. My son and him are best friends, and I came up to see him at Power Golf while he was home from the U.S. and teaching in Canberra for a few months. My God, I can't believe that this little boy that I used to coach in basketball has become such a knowledgeable, patient, and extremely attentive professional golfer. It was the best lesson I ever had. And I can tell you that 30 years ago, when I was teaching him basketball, I could never have thought that he would be giving me a golf lesson indoors, of all things, and fixing my slice in one hour. Thanks, Matt. Happy travels back to the U.S.

We first started working with Matt Davis when my son Justin was just seven. In a very short time, he went from being a beginner to competing in local tournaments on the Philadelphia Junior Tour, as well as qualifying for the Drive, Chip and Putt Championships semifinals and almost making it to the national finals. He also has multiple wins on the U.S. Kids Golf local tour here in Philadelphia, and we have started planning for his eventual college career. He'd love to play at Duke, and Matt encourages him all the time that you have to aim for greatness.
