If you are searching for the best jump rope lessons, you are in the right place. I am David Fisher, and I teach one-on-one (or group) jump rope (on line) for beginners, non-jumpers, fitness-focused adults, special needs students, and anyone chasing new tricks.
I am David Fisher, also known as The Rope Warrior. I am a professional jump-rope performer, teacher, and 3-time Guinness World Record holder with more than 30 years of experience teaching people how to jump rope. My coaching is built around watching how you move, pinpointing what is holding you back, and breaking down skills step-by-step.
After teaching thousands of lessons in schools, camps, fitness programs, workshops, and private sessions, I have learned that people do not all learn rope the same way. I do not just demonstrate and say copy me. We break down skills step-by-step and adjust one thing at a time so you feel an immediate difference.
I teach on-line and I teach when I am performing in different cities across the U.S.
Rope jumping is WAY less impact than running. Once you learn to land softly and cushion the impact, you'll be able to jump for longer periods of time. In addition, there are an INFINITE number of non-jumping skilss/tricks that you can learn where you never have to leave the ground.
Yes. I have taught jump rope to students of all ages in schools and camps, and the key is meeting them where they are. For younger students, we keep the sessions playful and skill-focused with clear challenges they can win. For teens building fitness or sport-specific footwork, we layer in intervals and progression targets so effort turns into measurable improvement.
Good technique and sensible progressions are the best injury prevention.
You can learn a lot from videos, but most people creating content don't know the first thing about communicating skills and solving the issues of specific students. I watch people in jump rope groups on line. They are taking YEARS to learn tricks that I can teach to Kindergarteners in minutes. That's not lack of effort or practice, that is an influencer that doesn't know how to teach.
A 60-minute private lesson is $100. It includes one-on-one coaching, a plan built around your goals, and a short follow-up routine so you can keep improving between sessions. If you are unsure where to start, book one session and we will map your next steps together.
Wear athletic shoes and comfortable clothing, bring water, and bring your current rope if you have one. If you do not have a rope yet, I will help you choose and size one that fits your goals during the session.
If you want practical, step-by-step coaching that meets you where you are, I would love to work with you. Book a 60-minute private lesson and let's get started with a plan that gets you real wins in your very first session.
